About these terms

Schools Near Me (schoolsnearme.au) is run by Schools Near Me. By using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it. Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law.

For parents

• Searching, comparing and enquiring are free, and you never need an account.
• School information comes from data published by ACARA and state education departments, and from schools themselves. Schools change, so confirm anything important, such as fees, dates and enrolment rules, with the school.
• Fees marked unconfirmed were taken from a school's own website and have not yet been checked by the school.
• When you enquire, your enquiry goes only to the schools named on the button you press. Each school decides for itself whether and how to reply. See our privacy policy.
• Please use the enquiry form only for genuine enquiries about your own child.

For schools

• Listings. Every school in Australia is listed from ACARA's School Profile and School Location data. Source: Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Authority (ACARA). A basic listing is free.
• Claiming a listing. To manage a listing you must verify that you act for the school, either with an email address on the school's own domain or by a phone call to the number published by the school. We do not accept claims from free webmail addresses.
• Your content. You are responsible for the accuracy of what you add, and you confirm you have the right to publish it, including photos. You give us a licence to display it on the site. Fields you edit are not overwritten by our data refresh.
• Enquiries. Enquiries are delivered to the addresses you set under “Who gets enquiries” in your dashboard. Keep them up to date, and handle parents' personal information in line with your own privacy obligations.
• Paid plans. Featured and Growth plans are billed in AUD, monthly or annually in advance, at the prices on our pricing page. Every invoice carries an invoice number, which is the payment reference to use for bank transfers. You can cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid for.
• Launch offer. During the launch offer, enquiry contact details are shown instantly on free listings. We will give notice before that changes.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse the site: no scraping at scale, no attempts to break security, no false claims to manage a school, and no unsolicited marketing to parents using details received through us.

Liability

We provide the site with due care and skill. We are not responsible for decisions made by schools, for a school's replies, or for information a school supplies. Our liability is limited to the extent the law allows.

Changes and law
